Extreme Waterfall Tournament 2023

15 players from at least 10 schools participated in our 34th scholastic tournament held by the Tokyo Bilingual Chess Club on June 18, 2023.聽 While June has a lot of rain nationwide, and this time is called 鈥淭SUYU" (rainy season), we had a beautiful weather on the tournament day.聽

Sorry about the new venue announcement not properly reminded to you as some families were sweating to get there from other locations where they mistakenly arrived馃挦

For many kids in Class B, it was a first introduction to tournament chess.聽 Taking the challenge is commendable and we hope they feel proud.

When two or more players聽ended up with the same score, we had a blitz chess play-off for both A & B, in which聽they play one game of five-minute聽chess聽to determine who wins which trophy.聽 The energy in the room was incredible!聽聽
